Terms of Service for RUB by Michael Reid
1. Services. RUB provides therapeutic massage by a licensed massage therapist. Sessions are for relaxation, muscle tension relief, and general wellness. Massage is not a substitute for medical care.
2. Professional conduct. All sessions are strictly non-sexual. Any request or behavior of a sexual nature ends the session immediately, with no refund, and may result in a permanent ban from future bookings.
3. Booking and payment. A booking request becomes a confirmed appointment when the studio approves it. Payment is due at the time of service. Accepted methods are Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, and cash. Credit cards are also accepted. Rates are listed at booking and may change with advance notice.
4. New clients, deposits, and cancellations. Please give at least four hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. To secure a first appointment, new clients choose one of two options at booking.
Option A: Keep a credit card on file. Your card is not charged at booking. By saving it, you authorize a flat $100 fee if you cancel within four hours of your scheduled appointment or do not show up. If you attend, the card is not charged for the fee.
Option B: Pay a $25 deposit by Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, or Cash App. The deposit counts toward your session total. It is forfeited if you cancel within four hours of your scheduled appointment or do not show up.
Returning clients are not required to provide a card or deposit. The studio may require one again at its discretion.
5. Refunds and disputes. Refunds are issued at the studio's discretion. If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first so we can resolve it directly. Disputes on card payments are handled according to the card processor's rules.
6. Late arrivals. Sessions end at the scheduled time regardless of arrival. Arriving late shortens your session, and the full rate still applies.
7. Health and consent. Before your first session, you'll complete a client intake and health history form. You agree to share any relevant health information and to tell your therapist right away if anything is uncomfortable. You may ask to adjust pressure, stop, or end the session at any time. The therapist may decline or end a session if it isn't safe or appropriate to continue.
8. Hygiene and respect. Please arrive clean and on time. Therapist and client treat each other with courtesy, and the studio may refuse service to anyone who is intoxicated, disrespectful, or unsafe.
9. Privacy. Your personal and health information, including your intake form, is kept confidential and used only to provide your care, except where disclosure is required by law.
10. Liability. You participate at your own risk and accept that massage carries ordinary risks like soreness. RUB is not liable for injuries or losses beyond what the law allows.
11. Changes. These terms may be updated from time to time. The version in effect at your booking applies.
